Children’s museum explores Our Body

If you’ve ever wondered what the human body looks like under the skin, now is your chance to find out.
In an effort to appeal to children of all ages, The Children’s Museum will today unveil its highly anticipated feature exhibition Our Body: The Universe Within.
The exhibit is part of a larger health theme the museum is exploring which also includes, “Germs, Germs, Germs” opening January 22 and a Future of Health Care speakers series beginning on the 24th.
As the name implies, Our Body: The Universe Within examins the human body with the use of real human body specimens.
Museum CEO David Marskell tells 570 News 20 polymer-preserved human bodies and more than 200 organs and partial body specimens will take viewers on a journey into the workings of the human body. Our skeletal, muscular, respiratory and circulatory systems clearly show how our lifestyle choices affect our health.
Marskell says there is a sense of awe, fascination and an element of beauty as you walk through the exhibit.
Doors open at 10:00 a.m. The exhibit runs until April 2.
