Weekend skies look to clear, chance of thunderstorms remain

After a week filled with a mix of rain and sun, this weekend may be your chance to enjoy the outdoors without smoke or rain.
A mix of sun and clouds is expected to roll in, bringing a chance of rain or thunderstorms heading into next week.
On Saturday, you will want to pack your sunscreen if you’re going outside, as Environment Canada says the UV index will reach 9, or very high, with temperatures getting to a high of 26 C and a humidex of 32.
That warm weather will bring a small chance of rain or thundershowers into Saturday afternoon.
Air quality readings across the region continue to hover at a low risk level, meaning this weekend could be a chance for you to enjoy the outdoors.
The Ontario Air Quality Health Index is showing its lowest levels of health risk since the wildfire smoke covered the region, after high-risk air quality warnings forced many people to limit their time outside.
Moving into Sunday, there will be a mix of sun and clouds, with a 40% chance of showers throughout the day and overnight. Sunday temperatures will reach a high of 26 C, dropping to a low of 17 C overnight.
Going into Monday, a mix of sun and clouds will continue, bringing a 60% chance of rain, and a high of 28 C across the day.
The risk of rain will stick around into Tuesday, carrying a 60% chance of showers and a risk of thunderstorms throughout the day.
Going into the rest of next week, skies will clear, and there will be lots of sun to finish out the week.
