46-year-old arrested after police raid illegal grow-op in Kitchener

A Kitchener man is facing charges under the Cannabis Act after Waterloo regional police busted a grow-op near downtown.
Police executed a search warrant at a commercial property in the area of Borden Avenue South and Charles Street East. The search was assisted by the Kitchener fire department.
According to police 3,500 cannabis plants, of various sizes, were seized.
The 46-year-old accused has been charged with cultivating and harvesting cannabis in a place that is not their dwelling.
He is set to appear in court in June.
