Portion of Westmount Road reopens following pedestrian collision in Waterloo

A short stretch of Westmount Road North in Waterloo was closed on Friday morning following a reported collision involving a pedestrian.

According to police, the crash occurred around 6:35 a.m. near Father David Bauer Drive.

The pedestrian, a 24-year-old Waterloo man, was taken to an out-of-region hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the involved vehicle was not hurt.

A road closure in the Westmount and Father David Bauer area was lifted late Friday morning.

Police continue to investigate and are asking any witnesses, including those with dash cam video, to contact them.
