Westbound 401 lanes reopen at Oxford Road 29 after collision

Westbound lanes were fully closed on Highway 401 at Oxford Road 29 for several hours on Friday after a collision.

The single-vehicle crash happened around 11 a.m. and involved a tractor-trailer.

Oxford OPP said the driver was the lone occupant and they were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The crash resulted in a closure of westbound 401 lanes from Oxford Road 29 to Blandford Road, near Woodstock.

The full closure lasted more than five hours.

OPP continue to investigate the collision and are asking anyone with dash cam video to contact them at 1-888-310-1122.
