The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say foul play is suspected in the death of a young man who was arrested in Guelph and has died in prison.
Brody Robinson, 23, was found with no vital signs in his cell at Millhaven Institution, west of Kingston, Ont., on Oct. 29
Provincial police say “the initial investigation has determined that the death was the result of foul play.”
A statement to 570 NewsRadio from the Correctional Service of Canada says Robinson was serving “a 4-year sentence for possession of a schedule I/II substance for the purpose of trafficking, and that the offence took place in Guelph.”
A funeral announcement on the website for the Wall-Custance Funeral Home & Chapel in Guelph, says “Brody loved hanging out with his friends. He also enjoyed fishing, spending a lot of his time by a lake, pond, or river.”
The investigation into his death is being led by the Ontario Provincial Police-led Joint Forces Penitentiary Squad.
