Name released in Speed River area death investigation

On Feb. 2 2019 at approximately 10 p.m., Guelph Police were contacted about a male in distress in the Speed River at the area of Wellington Street and Arthur Street. Police, Guelph Fire and Guelph-Wellington Paramedic Services searched the area and a male was located and transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead. He has been identified as Marc Louis Robinette, aged 50, of Guelph.
