Thousands attend funeral of former Jamaican PM Edward Seaga

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Thousands of Jamaicans have turned out for the funeral of Former Jamaican Prime Minister Edward Seaga.
Dozens of dignitaries from across the Caribbean were also in attendance despite scorching temperatures.
Seaga served as prime minister from 1980 until 1989 and was the only remaining member of the generation of leaders who drafted the constitution when the island gained independence from Britain in 1962.
He died in Florida on May 28 on his 89th birthday.
The funeral service Sunday was to be officiated by 13 faith leaders before an internment ceremony at National Heroes Park.
Seaga is survived by children Andrew, Annabella, Christopher and Gabriella, and wife Carla Vendryes.
