Waterloo Park summer concert series continues Sunday night

The sounds of musical mastery will serenade Waterloo Park for another Sunday evening, as the Waterloo Concert Band’s Summer Concert Series continues.
The evening of July 19 will see a performance by the Kitchener Musical Society Band at the Eby Farm “Barnshell” within Waterloo Park. The band, a collection of roughly four-dozen woodwind, reed, brass and percussion players, began as a band performing military marches. Now, their musical repertoire includes “everything from Bach to Bernstein, from classical symphonies to hot jazz and latin beat, from Hymns to Hoagy Carmichael, from ragtime to rock-and-roll.” The group is made up of players from teens through to senior age.

July 19’s show is the fourth in a series of seven shows taking place at Waterloo Park through the summer. The series has already seen performances from the Ebytown Brass, KW Kool Big Band, and the Galt Kilties.
Admission to all Summer Concert Series shows is free, but donations are welcome to help support the Waterloo Concert Band.
The show will take place at Eby Farm “Barnshell”. located just down the path from Waterloo Park’s ION LRT station. Parking is available at any of Waterloo Park’s three primary parking areas.
