Kitchener man facing multiple charges after waving knife during altercation

Waterloo Regional Police have arrested and charged a 24-year-old after a knife was waved during a fight in Kitchener.

The incident happened just before 2 a.m. Thursday in the area of Monte Carlo Street.

According to police, the 24-year-old was fighting another person and began waving a knife. The victim suffered minor injuries.

The accused man from Kitchener is facing multiple charges.

Those include:

  • Assault with a weapon
  • Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm (three counts)
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Mischief under $5,000
  • Assault peace officer
  • Breach of release order

He was then held for a bail hearing.
