Place of worship in Guelph hit with hateful graffiti twice

Guelph police are investigating after a south-end place of worship was hit with hateful graffiti twice in the last couple of weeks.
Police say there have been two reported incidents since the end of May where the place of worship was defaced with hate-related graffiti.
“We want to assure the public that we take all reported crime, including hate-motivated crime, very seriously,” wrote the Guelph Police Service in a release. “In all incidents, resources are utilized to ensure a thorough investigation is conducted. All of our officers receive training in hate-motivated criminal offences.”
Police say it’s unclear if the two recent incidents are related, but they’re both being investigated by the Hate Crime Investigative Unit.
