Police investigating after gun waved during buy-and-sell exchange

Waterloo Regional Police are providing an update on the robbery investigation in Kitchener.

According to police, a buy-and-sell robbery happened Thursday, May 28 around 12 p.m. at a plaza in the area of Westheights Drive and Driftwood Drive.

The victim arranged to meet the suspect to sell an iPad, but it was taken before money was exchanged.

Witnesses intervened to help, but the suspect waved an handgun towards them and then fled the scene.

No one was hurt in the incident.

This comes after a hold and secure was issued last Thursday for three public schools in that area.
