Three arrested after drugs and firearms seized in Kitchener

Waterloo Regional Police Service have arrested three individuals from Kitchener, after a seizure of drugs and a firearms cache.

The arrests come as the result of a WRPS Street Crime Team investigation of firearms back in April.

On May 22, officers executed a search warrant at a residence on Kitchener’s Vanier Drive, seizing a hidden cache. Included in the stockpile were two firearms, suspected cocaine, suspected fentanyl, a stolen identity document and business documents.

As a result of the search, a 35-year-old man, a 37-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman, all from Kitchener, were arrested and charged with four crimes. The charges include unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition, careless storage of a firearm, and two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.

The two male suspects also received additional charges including possession of an identity document, and breach of probation.
