Kitchener crews respond to active fire on Bramblewood Street

Fire crews responded to an active incident on Bramblewood Street in Kitchener on Friday afternoon.

Reports came in around 4 p.m. about a residential fire in the neighbourhood, which is in the Victoria Street South and Ira Needles Boulevard area.

The Deputy Chief with the Kitchener Fire Department said the fire started outside but moved to the attic.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.

There were significant traffic delays in the area during the Friday afternoon commute as the fire response and investigation continued.
