Hold and secure at Edna Staebler PS lifted

A hold and secure previously in place at Edna Staebler Public School in Waterloo has since been lifted.

At the time, a spokesperson with the Waterloo Region District School Board said that measure was put in place at the direction of Waterloo regional police.

The school is located in the area of Erbsville Road and Erb Street West, and is also home to a YMCA child care program.

Providing an update just after 10 a.m., a spokesperson with local police said officers were in the area for a wellbeing / medical call.

The service said the individual they were seeking had been located, with the hold and secure lifted shortly afterward.
