Person to identify possibly connected to Wilmot hit-and-run

Regional police are asking the public to help identify a man they believe could have information about a crash in Wilmot Township.

According to a press release, on March 17, officers responded to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of New Dundee Road and Bridge Street. It happened around 9:00 p.m., and one of the involved vehicles fled the scene.

Police are looking for a black Ford F-150 with significant front-end damage that left before police could arrive. Minor injuries were reported in the incident.

Officials also released an image of a man they believe could be related to the situation and may have information that could help the case.

They are asking anyone with information to contact Waterloo Regional Police Service at 519‑570‑9777.
