Region of Waterloo looking to hire Water Analyst

In the midst of water capacity concerns in Waterloo Region, the municipality is looking to add a Water Analyst to its payroll.

In a social media post, the region said it was looking for a “skilled and detail-oriented Water Analyst to support the planning, implementation, and coordination of water and wastewater projects and studies across the region.”

The full-time job, listed as a backfill position, would pay $47.22 – $53.50 per hour.

The new hire would be responsible for planning and coordinating water and wastewater projects and studies, including infrastructure installation and expansion projects across the region.

When it comes to water capacity in the Region of Waterloo, the job posting also mentions a responsibility for creating and maintaining “development plan application tracking systems integral to the capacity allocation program to ensure growth is managed sustainably with respect to the Region’s water supply and wastewater treatment facilities.”

The job posting can be found here.

Last week, an internationally recognized expert in water utility management was hired by the Region of Waterloo to help prioritize solutions to the water capacity constraint in the Mannheim Service Area.

Kenneth Brothers will start that role at the end of February.
