Guitars of ‘sentimental value’ stolen in break-in

A Guelph man is heartbroken after a pair of guitars, with more sentimental value than financial value, were stolen in a break-in.

Police said that they were called the afternoon of Feb. 14 to a home near Victoria Road North and Woodlawn Road East. The resident told officers that he came home the night before and noticed the two guitars usually hanging on the wall were not there.

Officials said in a press release that the instruments are worth little money but are extremely important to the victim. They were gifts from his children, more than 20 years ago.

The guitars are an orange and black Epiphone acoustic electric and a black Gretsch acoustic electric.

Anyone with information is asked to call Constable Jen Probst at 519-824-1212, ext. 7296, email jprobst@guelphpolice.ca.
