Ranger comeback falls short, lose to Wolves 4-3

The win streak has sadly come to an end for the Kitchener Rangers, as they fell to the Sudbury Wolves by a score of 4-3.

It wasn’t from a lack of effort by the Blueshirts, with more than 40 shots on net across the game, but the Wolves were able to keep up regardless.

The game seemed to open strong for the Rangers, with Jack Pridham scoring the first goal of the game less than two minutes in with an assist from Dylan Edwards and Christian Humphreys.

But Sudbury responded quickly, getting three of their own before the first period was over.

Dylan Edwards looked to get the game on track when he scored the only goal of the second, but when the third period came around Sudbury got themselves a fourth puck in net.

Jack Pridham would book end the night getting the last goal of the game with less than three minutes left in the third, but unfortunately the Rangers were unable to take the game to overtime.

It was the debut game for two Rangers, with both forward Gabriel Chiarot and Mason Hriczov making their first appearance on the team, with the game being the first OHL appearance for Hriczov as well.

The team will be looking to turn it around this afternoon when they head to North Bay to take on the Battallion.

Puck drop for the game is 1:00 p.m. with the pregame show starting on 570 NewsRadio starting at 12:30 p.m.
