Suspect at large following Christmas Day robbery

Police are searching for a suspect following a Christmas Day robbery at a convenience store in Kitchener.

Regional officers say it happened around 12:30 p.m. near Victoria Street South and Westmount Road.

The suspect entered the business allegedly brandishing a knife and demanding money from an employee.

The suspect fled the scene on foot before police could arrive, and was last seen headed towards Mooregate Crescent.

Police have released a photo of the suspect, who is described as a black male, aged 20-30 years old and standing 6″2′. He was wearing a black vest, sweatshirt, track pants and running shoes.
