According to the GrandBridge Energy, an outage affected most of the Preston community shortly before 3 p.m.

The outage spanned from part of Hespeler Road, to King Street East, across Highway 401 and as far north as Maple Grove Road.

Just over 3,500 customers were impacted. Power was restored in the area around 4:30 p.m.
