Children’s reality TV show filming in Cambridge

The popular TVO series Old Enough! is coming to Cambridge.

Film crews are set to arrive in the city Thursday and set up shop on a portion of Callaway Drive in the Silver Heights neighbourhood on the north end of Cambridge.

No road closures are planned, with crews parked along Callaway Drive, Sharpe Ave, and Baldwin Drive between 12 p.m. and 6 p.m.

“Residents are kindly asked to use their driveways where possible,” reads a notice from the City of Cambridge.

“The crew is aware of garbage collection and will ensure bins remain accessible.”

This is second season of the Blue Ant Studios production. The show is based on a Japanese series of the same name on Nippon TV.

Old Enough! is the first North American version of the show, following young kids aged three to six taking on “real-world adventures.”

Blue Ant describes the episodes as featuring everything “from smoothie runs to clothing shopping, everyday tasks become extraordinary adventures when tackled by newly empowered kids who have just experienced their first taste of independence.”

“Each episode offers a glimpse into how families nurture independence, while a dedicated safety team ensures the kids are supported every step of the way.”

The City of Cambridge said filming on Thursday will include scenes that involve kids walking and playing outside.
