Kitchener Rangers score six unanswered to defeat Storm

The Kitchener Rangers scored six unanswered goals to take down the Guelph Storm 6-1 on Tuesday night at The Aud.

The offensive performance from the Blueshirts was their best of the season so far, with goals from forwards Jack Pridham, Christian Humphreys, and a first OHL goal for Avry Anstis.

“They have to be those guys who put up points, and I think today they really jumped up,” said Rangers Head Coach Jussi Ahokas about the impressive performances from Pridham and Humphreys. “Big boys need to be big boys.”

For Guelph, Tuesday’s loss makes it four in a row, and they now find themselves languishing near the bottom of the Midwest Division.

Next up for the Rangers is a pair of games against the London Knights. On Friday, the Knights make a trip to The Aud, and then on Saturday, the Blueshirts head west down Highway 401 to Canada Life Place.

“We’re gonna bring it, London better be ready,” said Anstis after the game.
