A series of break-ins in the Forest Heights area of Kitchener are now being investigated by Regional Police.
On Oct. 3, police say four break-and-enters occurred on several streets, including Thorncliffe Street, Bent Willow Drive and Deerwood Crescent.
The suspects allegedly gained access to the homes through the rear door and stole property. All of the homes backed onto greenspace and three of them had their rear glass doors smashed.
Police are asking the public who live in the area to check their home security footage during the day for any suspicious person or activity.
Some tips from police to prevent break-ins include keeping valuables out of sight, keeping doors and windows locked even when home, installing an audible noise alarm system, and letting neighbours know if you are away for a long period of time.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
