Parking lot ‘donuts’ lead to licence suspension in Waterloo

Waterloo Regional Police are reminding motorists to watch their driving behaviour, even through parking lots, after laying charges in Waterloo on Sunday night.
Sharing the message on social media, police said a 22-year-old man was spotted by officers with the Traffic Services Unit, doing donuts in a Waterloo parking lot.
The display landed the 22-year-old man, from Nepean, with charges of stunt driving and careless driving.
The driver has also received a 30 day license suspension and 14 day vehicle impoundment.
“Reminder: Stunt Driving and Careless Driving laws apply to both highways and parking lots,” reads the message from regional police.
“Let’s work together to keep our roads and communities safe.”
