Police investigating collision involving cyclist in Woolwich

Emergency services responded to reports of a collision in Woolwich involving a bicycle on July 25th, around 4:10 p.m.
Waterloo Regional Police say the collision happened in the Katherine Street and Letson Drive area, and involved a vehicle and a cyclist.
The cyclist, who is a 44-year-old man from Toronto, was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Officials say the driver of the vehicle reported no injuries.
During the investigation, Katherine Street was closed for several hours after the collision.
This is the second collision in the Waterloo region in the last three days involving a cyclist, with another collision occurring on July 24th.
The investigation remains ongoing by WRPS’ Traffic Services Unit, and charges are anticipated.
