Car stolen, two at large in armed Cambridge robbery

Regional police are on the hunt for two suspects and a stolen vehicle, following a reported armed robbery in Cambridge.
It was in the early morning hours, around 2:40 a.m. on Monday, when regional police responded to the area of Hespeler Road and Bishop Street North in Cambridge for reports of a robbery.
It’s alleged that the victim was walking to his vehicle when he was approached by two male suspects, one of whom demanded his car keys while brandishing a firearm.
Police say there was a physical altercation that took place, though the suspects were able to obtain the keys and fled the area in the victim’s grey 2023 Honda Civic.
No physical injuries were reported as a result of the scuffle.
That stolen vehicle was last seen travelling westward on Bishop Street. Police have since released descriptions of the two people they are looking for:
- Suspect 1: White male in his 20s with an average build, wearing all dark clothing and a black face mask.
- Suspect 2: A South Asian man in his 20s with an average build, wearing grey clothing and a black face mask.
The investigation is ongoing by the service’s Robbery Team and anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked to contact police at 519-570-9777, extension 8255.
