Regional police investigating ‘distraction theft’ in Kitchener

Waterloo regional police are on the hunt for the occupants of a small white SUV after a distraction theft in Kitchener on Canada Day.
Police say the victim, an elderly woman, was sitting on her front porch around 2 p.m. when the suspects approached.
They were able to divert her attention long enough to make off with the victim’s jewellery.
Two male and one female suspect were last seen driving away in a white, newer model Toyota Rav4.
The licence plate had been removed.
