OPP investigating after plane ‘flipped over’ at Guelph Airpark

A pilot is recovering from minor injuries after a plane overturned on the Guelph Airpark runway.
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) from the Wellington County detachment said they were called to the small airport in Guelph Eramosa Township just after 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday. A report detailed that there was a plane that had “flipped over” just as the pilot was landing.
When the situation happened, nearby bystanders helped get the pilot to safety and the plane tipped back on its wheels, officials detailed in a press release.
The pilot was sent to hospital with minor injuries.
The investigation by OPP is continuing with the help of Transport Canada, Transportation Safety Board of Canada and the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre.
