Unlawful ‘after-hours’ operation shut down in Kitchener, alcohol seized

A 40-year-old man is now facing a list of charges following the execution of a search warrant and seizure of liquor in the north end of Kitchener.

It was on Saturday when members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service‘s Direct Action Response Team (DART) carried out that search warrant in the area of Victoria Street North and St. Leger Street.

It all stems from a Liquor Licence and Control Act investigation into an unlawful “after-hours” premises in Kitchener.

It’s unclear what sort of operation was targeted, though police said that the investigation led to the seizure of several bottles and cases of liquor.

That 40-year-old man was arrested as a result of the investigation, and now faces charges including:

  • Unlawfully selling liquor
  • Unlawfully possessing liquor
  • Unlawfully keeping liquor for sale
  • Permitting disorderly conduct on licensed premises
  • Unlawfully permitting individuals to consume open liquor in a public place
  • Permitting intoxication on licensed premise
