A woman from Brampton has been arrested and charged with an alleged armed robbery in Guelph from about eleven weeks before.
Guelph police said it was back on March 20 when a woman came into a store near Woodlawn Road and Woolwich Street, but she was not allowed to buy what she wanted due to a lack of a valid ID.
She reportedly left the store and got into a black car.
Police said three men then came out of that car, carrying a handgun and a hammer, and used those weapons to threaten and intimidate two female staff.
The staff members were not hurt, and the robbers fled with cash and merchandise.
Police have been investigating ever since, and said a 26-year-old woman from Brampton was arrested Tuesday and charged with robbery and wearing a disguise while committing an offence.
The three men allegedly brandishing weapons were still at large.
Police described them as:
- Black male, dark complexion, 5′ 10″ with a heavy build, wearing a yellow zip-up hoodie, black Nike balaclava, black pants, and black gloves.
- Black male, lighter complexion, 6′, slim build, long black hair, blue hoodie under yellow vest, black pants, blue shoes.
- Black male, dark complexion, 5′ 8″ to 5′ 10″ with a slim build, black North Face windbreaker, grey track pants, black shoes, and carrying a black duffel bag.
