A busy evening commute through Kitchener was made even worse Monday, after a three-vehicle crash in the Fischer-Hallman Road and Queen’s Boulevard area involving an alleged impaired driver.
Waterloo regional police say that a driver, impaired by both alcohol and drugs, may be to blame for the crash.
Shortly after 6:00 p.m. Monday, police were called to the crash in the Forest Heights neighbourhood. One of the drivers involved reportedly ran away from the scene. He was found not too far away, and arrested.
A 42-year-old Woodstock man is now facing a list of charges, including driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs, dangerous operation of a vehicle, and driving while suspended.
Police make no mention of the other parties involved in the crash, or whether or not there were any injuries.
Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
