Regional police arrest ‘prolific’ offender in Kitchener

A man from Waterloo is facing several charges by Waterloo Regional Police in connection with multiple property crimes.

On Friday, police arrested a “prolific offender” in Kitchener after they allegedly attempted to enter several parked vehicles in the area of Queen Street North and King Street East. Officers say the accused had just been released from custody at the Waterloo Region Courthouse for another incident.

The 30-year-old man now faces 11 charges of attempted theft from a motor vehicle and theft under $5,000 from a vehicle.

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.
