A family from Waterloo Region is singing their hearts out to raise money for KidsAbility.
“A Sentimental Journey 3” is on now at WMB Church at 245 Lexington Road in Waterloo.
Nicole Guse’s son, Joshua Bakerman, was a KidsAbility client when he was a little boy when he received treatment.
Nicole said, “KidsAbility taught him how to distinguish what was the thing you needed to listen to the most; they taught him how to deal with textures, and touching things; and they helped him with his speech.”
Joshua is now 19, and in his second year at McMaster University.
He said, “I have a lot of childhood memories of the KidsAbility location in Waterloo. They helped me so much, they helped me become the person I am today. And without their help I do not know where I’d be.”
The remaining show dates are Saturday May 10, and then May 14 through 16, with all shows at 2:00 p.m.
