Police investigating three break-ins in Kitchener

By CityNews Kitchener Staff

Police are asking for the public’s help in connection with a series of residential break-ins in Kitchener.

All of the incidents happened on April 23 and April 24 at a building on Garment Street.

It’s alleged one individual gained entry to three units. One of them was occupied at the time.

There’s no injuries reported but personal property was stolen and one of the units was damaged.

On Thursday, Waterloo regional police released photos of a woman they are trying to identify in connection with their investigation.

If you recognize them or have any relevant information, contact police or Crime Stoppers.

Police have also released the following tips to help prevent break-and-enters:

  • Keep doors and windows locked, even when home
  • Keep valuables out of common areas and out of plain sight
  • Install audible noise alarm systems
  • Secure residences with home video surveillance cameras in the front and back of the residence
  • Notify neighbours when away for an extended period and arrange to have someone check on your residence
  • Report any suspicious persons or vehicles to police
