Ainslie Street reopens in Cambridge after pedestrian collision

One person is now in hospital after a serious collision on Monday morning in Cambridge.

It was just after 7 a.m. when police shared news on social media of a closure on Ainslie Street South between Bruce Street and Veterans Way.

Police report the collision occurred in the area of Ainslie and Walnut streets around 5:40 a.m., sending one person to an out-of-region hospital with serious injuries.

An update shared just before 8 a.m. said that the closure on Ainslie Street had been lifted.

The investigation into that collision is still ongoing.
