Gas prices fall three cents at midnight for third drop in a week

The price to fill up the gas tank continues to drop this weekend across Waterloo Region.
Roger McKnight, Chief Petroleum Analyst with En-Pro International Inc., said the price of gas fell by three cents at midnight, to a high of 129.9 cents a litre, and is expected to hold for Monday and Tuesday. This came after a seven cent drop on Saturday.
Some stations in Kitchener on Sunday morning were as low as 123.9 cents a litre, with some in Wilmot Township reading at 126.9 cents a litre. A few stations in Waterloo were reported as low as 115.9 cents, according to GasBuddy.
This was be the third drop of the week at the pumps. The biggest coming on April 1, when the consumer carbon tax was removed, resulting in gas prices dropping by as much as 20 cents.
