Charges expected after teen horse and buggy driver badly hurt in Wellesley

A boy driving a horse and buggy in Wellesley Township was airlifted to hospital after a Sunday morning crash left him seriously injured.
Waterloo regional police say it happened around 8:45 a.m., around Greenwood Hill Road and Hessen Strasse.
They say the horse and buggy and a Hyundai collided, and the 14-year-old driving the buggy was taken by air ambulance to an out-of-region hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Police confirm to 570 NewsRadio the horse appeared to be fine.
The 21-year-old driving the Hyundai was not hurt.
Police say charges are expected, but for now, they’re still investigating.
