It was exactly two weeks ago the Kitchener Rangers rolled to a 5-1 victory over the Owen Sound Attack at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium.
It was right after that win the Rangers embarked on a five game road trip that saw them pick-up victories over Erie, Sault Ste. Marie and Flint before losses to Saginaw and London.
Kitchener hasn’t lost more than two in a row since they opened the season 0-2-1-0.
That London contest was a heated affair with the Knights besting the Rangers 5-3.
The win clinched a playoff birth for London and opened up a five point lead over Kitchener for first overall in the Ontario Hockey League. The top two teams will meet twice more before the end of the regular season.
Tonight’s opponent, the Owen Sound Attack have dropped six of their ten and sit outside the playoff race.
The Rangers have taken three of four meetings so far this season.
Game time at the Kitchener Aud is 7:00 pm.
Mike Farwell and Paul Fixter will have tonight’s call on 570 NewsRadio beginning with the pre-game show at 6:30 p.m.
