Crash leads to partial road closure between Elmira and St. Jacobs

An early-morning crash on Tuesday has closed a portion of road connecting Elmira to the rest of Waterloo Region.

A collision at the rail crossing between St. Jacobs and Elmira has closed the southbound lanes of Arthur Street South between Sawmill Road and Scotch Line.

Grand River Transit has also begun detouring buses around the area.

According to Waterloo Regional Police, there are no reports of any major injuries in the collision.
