Business as usual at LifeLabs in Kitchener and GTA: Strike averted

Blood test samples are still going to get to the lab in Kitchener, thanks to a deal that prevented a strike at LifeLabs that would have begun Monday morning.

Couriers and other staff could have walked off the job on Saturday and hit the picket lines to start the week.

But the company and OPSEU (Ontario Public Service Employees Union) reached a tentative contract on Friday night.

No details about the offer are being made public at this time.
