Regional police arrest Kitchener man wanted for over 15 offences

A Kitchener man, wanted for over 15 criminal offences, has been found and arrested.

Waterloo Regional Police (WRP) had been searching for 44-year-old Christopher Lougheed.

He was wanted for numerous charges including failing to comply with a release order, theft, possession of stolen property, careless driving and flight from police.

On Wednesday, police said he was arrested after a traffic stop in the River Road and Grand River Boulevard area of Kitchener.

He reportedly tried to run from WRP officers but was caught and arrested.

He was then held for a bail hearing.

Lougheed’s offences include:

  • Failure to comply with a release order (nine counts)
  • Operation while prohibited (two counts)
  • Theft over $5,000 (four counts)
  • Theft under $5,000
  • Possession of stolen property over $5,000
  • Possession of stolen property under $5,000
  • Flight from police
  • Careless driving
