Construction shuts down portion of Weber Street for three weeks

The summer construction season continues in Waterloo Region.

The latest closure to impact the commute is along Weber Street East in Kitchener.

Until August 7, Weber is closed between Franklin Street North and Arlington Boulevard. The Region of Waterloo said the three-week closure is for site servicing in that area.

Drivers are being asked to detour using Ottawa Street, River Road, and Fairway Road to access Weber.

Grand River Transit (GRT) has closed some bus stops as a results of the work. Details on how to get through that area with GRT can be found here.
