Elora Quarry Conservation Area opens for the season

The Elora Quarry Conservation Area opens on Saturday June 22 for the start of the season.

Both membership holders and the general public are able to by tickets online starting Saturday.

Tickets can be purchased on any particular day for one of two four-hour time slots. Those slots span 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The Elora Quarry features cliffs up to 12 metres high, a small sandy beach, a one-kilometre trail and picnic areas.

For those that need it, The Grand River Conservation Authority (GRCA) said vault toilets and change rooms are available on site.

Dogs are not permitted except those using service animals.

In addition the GRCA notes vehicles are not permitted to park on the side of neighboring roads and visitors should plan their arrival accordingly. The cost for parking at the quarry is $15.
