Motorcyclist seriously injured, charged after crash near River and Ottawa

Charges have been laid against a motorcyclist who was also seriously injured in a crash in Kitchener.
Waterloo Regional Police say Monday night, around 8:40 p.m. a motorcycle and car crashed near River Road East and Ottawa Street North.
The area was closed for several hours for the investigation.
The driver of the bike was seriously injured but will recover.
The passenger on the motorcycle received only minor injuries.
Charges have since been laid against the motorcyclist.
They are charged with failing to yield the right of way for a private driveway.
