Three youths arrested after damaging tombstones in Cambridge

Three youths were arrested on Saturday after damaging tombstones at a Cambridge cemetery.

According to Waterloo Regional Police Police, they responded to reports of the theft of construction equipment in the area of Blenheim Rd. in Cambridge at about 7:30 a.m. 

When officers arrived, they found the stolen piece of equipment abandoned and found that tombstones had been pushed over.

With help from the canine unit, police found three youths at the cemetery and made the arrest.

The youths, aged 15, 16, and 17, were charged with motor vehicle theft and mischief over $5,000.
