Police release photos of suspects after robbery at Fairview Park Mall

Another robbery at Fairview Park Mall. This time it happened in broad daylight on a busy Saturday afternoon.

Around 5 p.m. Saturday, Waterloo Regional Police reported an increased presence at the Kitchener mall after a jewellery store was robbed.

According to police, four unknown masked men entered the business and were armed with hammers and a handgun.

They allegedly smashed display cases and stole merchandise before spraying a noxious substance inside the mall.

The suspects then fled the area in a white SUV, with a fifth suspect acting as a getaway driver.

Two employees were transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The mall was evacuated by police and remained closed for the rest of the day.

The investigation is ongoing.
