Cambridge man facing charges after home invasion in Southwold Township

A Cambridge man has been arrested in connection with a home invasion in Southwold Township.

OPP started investigating after the reported assault incident at a residence on Fingal Line on June 7, 2022.

It’s reported a stranger was posing as a delivery person and forced their way inside the house once the resident opened the door.

There was a physical altercation and a second suspect allegedly emerged and assaulted the homeowner, who suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Both suspects fled in a black-coloured sedan.

Through the ongoing investigation, OPP arrested 20-year-old Kiefer Clarke of Cambridge on April 10, 2024. He is facing several charges including robbery with intent to steal a firearm and assault with a weapon.

Police said work is continuing to identify the other outstanding suspect in the investigation.
