Another arrest in connection with armed jewellery store robbery at Fairview Park Mall

Two arrests have now been made, after a jewellery store at Fairview Park Mall was smashed up with hammers by armed thieves back in January.

The first suspect, a 16-year-old, was arrested back in February, and now police say another teenager has been charged.

Police added there are at least two other suspects still on the loose.

The group of youths came armed with hammers and pepper spray, around 8:20 p.m. to the store at the Kitchener mall on the evening of Jan. 8.

No one was physically hurt, but goods were stolen, and significant damage done to the store.

The two teens are facing numerous charges including robbery with a weapon.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
