Collision closes Erb Street East through Uptown Waterloo

Regional police have closed Erb Street East after a vehicle slammed into a power line between Regina and Moore.

You can expect traffic issues on the drive Friday morning through the area of Uptown Waterloo.

Erb Street East is closed between Regina Street North and Moore Avenue after an early morning collision.

Regional police report downed power lines in the area, as they warn the roadway is likely to remain closed for several hours.

A power outage is also impacting a swath of customers along that stretch of Erb Street East — crews with Enova Power Corp. have been dispatched to the area.
